Mission Statement

Improve and strengthen individuals and the Olathe community by identifying, inspiring, and engaging those persons who have displayed a capacity for leadership and providing a means for directing participant involvement into community leadership roles.

Leadership Olathe Information

Length of Program: Nine full-day sessions begin in January and continue through May.

Selection Basis: Approximately 25-30 applicants are accepted into the program annually.

Cost: Tuition is $1200 for members, $1600 for non-members (includes one year Chamber membership) and $1200 for schools who nominate a student. Partial tuition scholarships are available. Tuition includes materials, food and beverage, and may include transportation when appropriate.

*High school applications are due to high school administrators no later than Nov. 3. *Administrators are required to submit nominated high school applicant by Friday, Nov. 10

A program of the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Foundation Fund. Scholarships funded by the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Foundation Fund.

The Olathe Chamber of Commerce Foundation Youth Leadership Funds are awarded to programs focused on leadership related initiatives. Fund recipients must be a registered nonprofit organization. The Leadership Funds, administered by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, will be award to those who are most in need and meet application requirements. The Chamber Board of Directors is the governing body for the distribution of funds based on the recommendation of the Board appointed Foundation Funds Review Committee.
